I recently gave a talk on Postgres and ActiveRecord 4 at RailsConf 2013 about implementing tagging, hierarchies, custom data, and full text search. The slides and sample code are available. The video will be up in a week or two. This was quite exciting for me because this was RailsConf, my first conference, and my first talk ever.

I wasn’t able to cover these topics in as much detail as I would like, so I will write more about each in the next few days.
